9 Steps on How to get a job in a call centre

Working in a call centre takes dedication as the work is very stressful at times and one must be able to multitask. The goo thing is that it can be a source of stable income with benefits and most of the time there’s often an option for very well paying overtime, so there’s an opportunity to earn more depending on your needs. The work can be permanent or temporary.

1.   Most of the very big companies now prefer to go to recruitment agencies when looking to hire call centre staff as this process is much quicker and easier than having to take applications from the public. So best get yourself signed up with a recruitment agency. Its free any agency that asks you to pay is not for real.

2.  Prepare a template resume with the basic details of your employment, skills and education.



3.  Create a specific resume for each position. For each, highlight the skills and experiences most suited to the job you want. For example, a position with a bank might mean you highlight the money handling and accounting aspects of your previous job at a fast food restaurant. For a position with a sporting goods store, you would focus on the customer contact and problem-solving skills associated with the drive-through.



4. To find out which agencies are there you can go on to the internet and Google for recruitment         agencies in your area.

5. signing up with an agency is easy. You either just go on to their websites and register your CV or wait till they have advertised posts either online or in the newspaper and apply.

6. You can apply online, via email or in person going to their offices. Once they’ve decided they want to know more about you then they will call you for an interview to assess your suitability for the position or other positions they might have in the available

       7. Prepare for the interview if called for one. You will want to research the company itself, the    industry as a whole, and the position in particular for attitudes and answers the interviewer will be looking for.

        8. Show up five to 10 minutes early for the interview. During the interview, always keep in mind that you are applying for a customer service position that relies on your voice and presentation. Focus on answering as you would like to hear a customer service representative speak to you over the phone.
